End of October already? SPOOKY.
TRAINING:
At the Kansas City Presas Arnis Meetup, we continued the exploration of the sumbrada drill, in its 6-count and 10-count versions.
This will be my last KC-PAM session I'll be active in until I recover from my hip surgery in two weeks.
I'm really sad about that, as Sundays and Mondays are the highlights of my week, but it's necessary because my hip is getting worse by the day.
At Elite Dragon, we also played some sumbrada, as well as reviewed our Anyos. When I go on hiatus for a couple of weeks, a senior student is going to cover the class, and we talked about stuff to do while I'm out. I'm hoping I'll only miss two Mondays of the class, but remains to be seen.
So basically, training for me is getting things wrapped up for others to keep going while I'm out recovering.
Yaaaaaay.
This is the weekend after my hip surgery, so I can't train at this, but YOU can! Learn more HERE.

If you like what you read here, can you please subscribe to this blog? You can do so at the bottom of the page. I'm not sending out email yet but that's one thing that's coming as I adjust my social media presence.
Speaking of which, you can find me on MeWe, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram (Don't get too attached to FB and Instagram, y'all). It's gifting season, so why not deck out your favorite martial arts buddy with Stick Chick Blog gear? SHOP HERE
While I'm recovering from hip surgery, I won't have any fresh posts until at least after Thanksgiving. I'll be re-running old content, though, so no reason not to check in on the social media channels, ok? There won't be any Stick Chicktivity during that period either.

FRIDAY THOUGHTS:
This weekend (on Halloween) is my 30th wedding anniversary. We are going to a socially distanced mostly outdoor party. It will be cool and clear, and a nice bright full moon.
I'm very much looking forward to it.
Y'all stay safe, have fun, and keep training.
